The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah will raise for this community at the end of every hundred years the one who will renovate its religion for it.
Abu Dawud said: 'Abd al-Rahman bin Shuriah al-Iskandarani has also transmitted this tradition, but he did not exceed Shrahil.
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” اللہ اس امت کے لیے ہر صدی کی ابتداء میں ایک ایسے شخص کو مبعوث فرمائے گا جو اس کے لیے اس کے دین کی تجدید کرے گا “ ۔
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: you will make a secure peace with the Byzantines, then you and they will fight an enemy behind you, and you will be victorious, take booty, and be safe. You will then return and alight in a meadow with mounds and one of the Christians will raise the cross and say: The cross has conquered. One of the Muslims will become angry and smash it, and the Byzantines will act treacherously and prepare for the battle.
حسان بن عطیہ کہتے ہیں کہ
مکحول اور ابن ابی زکریا : خالد بن معدان کی طرف چلے ، میں بھی ان کے ساتھ چلا تو انہوں نے ہم سے جبیر بن نفیر کے واسطہ سے صلح کے متعلق بیان کیا ، جبیر نے کہا : ہمارے ساتھ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے اصحاب میں سے ذی مخبر نامی ایک شخص کے پاس چلو چنانچہ ہم ان کے پاس آئے ، جبیر نے ان سے صلح کے متعلق دریافت کیا ، تو انہوں نے کہا : میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا ہے : ” عنقریب تم رومیوں سے ایک پر امن صلح کرو گے ، پھر تم اور وہ مل کر ایک ایسے دشمن سے لڑو گے جو تمہارے پیچھے ہے ، اس پر فتح پاؤ گے ، اور غنیمت کا مال لے کر صحیح سالم واپس ہو گے یہاں تک کہ ایک میدان میں اترو گے جو ٹیلوں والا ہو گا ، پھر نصرانیوں میں سے ایک شخص صلیب اٹھائے گا اور کہے گا : صلیب غالب آئی ، یہ سن کر مسلمانوں میں سے ایک شخص غصہ میں آئے گا اور اس کو مارے گا ، اس وقت اہل روم عہد شکنی کریں گے اور لڑائی کے لیے اپنے لوگوں کو جمع کریں گے “ ۔
The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Hassan b. ’Atiyyah through a different chain of narrators. This version add:
The Muslims will then make for their weapons and will fight, and Allah will honor that body with martryrdom.
Abu Dawud said: But al-Walid has narrated this tradition from Dhu Mikhbar from the Prophet (ﷺ).
Abu Dawud said: Rawh, Yahya bin Hamzah and Bishr bin Bakr has also transmitted it from al-Awza'i as mentioned by 'Isa.
اس سند سے بھی حسان بن عطیہ سے یہی حدیث مروی ہے
اس میں یہ اضافہ ہے : ” پھر جلدی سے مسلمان اپنے ہتھیاروں کی طرف بڑھیں گے ، اور لڑنے لگیں گے ، تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس جماعت کو شہادت سے نوازے گا “ ۔
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The flourishing state of Jerusalem will be when Yathrib is in ruins, the ruined state of Yathrib will be when the great war comes, the outbreak of the great war will be at the conquest of Constantinople and the conquest of Constantinople when the Dajjal (Antichrist) comes forth. He (the Prophet) struck his thigh or his shoulder with his hand and said: This is as true as you are here or as you are sitting (meaning Mu'adh ibn Jabal).
معاذ بن جبل رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” بیت المقدس کی آبادی مدینہ کی ویرانی ہو گی ، مدینہ کی ویرانی لڑائیوں اور فتنوں کا ظہور ہو گا ، فتنوں کا ظہور قسطنطنیہ کی فتح ہو گی ، اور قسطنطنیہ کی فتح دجال کا ظہور ہو گا “ پھر آپ نے اپنا ہاتھ اس شخص یعنی معاذ بن جبل کی ران یا مونڈھے پر مارا جن سے آپ یہ بیان فرما رہے تھے ، پھر فرمایا : ” یہ ایسے ہی یقینی ہے جیسے تمہارا یہاں ہونا یا بیٹھنا یقینی ہے “ ۔
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The greatest war, the conquest of Constantinople and the coming forth of the Dajjal (Antichrist) will take place within a period of seven months.
معاذ بن جبل رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” بڑی جنگ ، قسطنطنیہ کی فتح اور دجال کا نکلنا تینوں چیزیں سات مہینے کے اندر ہوں گی “ ۔
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The time between the great war and the conquest of the city (Constantinople) will be six years, and the Dajjal (Antichrist) will come forth in the seventh.
Abu Dawud said: This is sounder than the tradition narrated by Isa (bin Yunus)
عبداللہ بن بسر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” بڑی جنگ اور فتح قسطنطنیہ کے درمیان چھ سال کی مدت ہو گی اور ساتویں سال میں مسیح دجال کا ظہور ہو گا ۱؎ “ ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں : یہ عیسیٰ کی روایت سے زیادہ صحیح ہے ۔
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The people will soon summon one another to attack you as people when eating invite others to share their dish. Someone asked: Will that be because of our small numbers at that time? He replied: No, you will be numerous at that time: but you will be scum and rubbish like that carried down by a torrent, and Allah will take fear of you from the breasts of your enemy and last enervation into your hearts. Someone asked: What is wahn (enervation). Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): He replied: Love of the world and dislike of death.
ثوبان رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” قریب ہے کہ دیگر قومیں تم پر ایسے ہی ٹوٹ پڑیں جیسے کھانے والے پیالوں پر ٹوٹ پڑتے ہیں “ تو ایک کہنے والے نے کہا : کیا ہم اس وقت تعداد میں کم ہوں گے ؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” نہیں ، بلکہ تم اس وقت بہت ہو گے ، لیکن تم سیلاب کی جھاگ کے مانند ہو گے ، اللہ تعالیٰ تمہارے دشمن کے سینوں سے تمہارا خوف نکال دے گا ، اور تمہارے دلوں میں «وہن» ڈال دے گا “ تو ایک کہنے والے نے کہا : اللہ کے رسول ! «وہن» کیا چیز ہے ؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” یہ دنیا کی محبت اور موت کا ڈر ہے “ ۔
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The place of assembly of the Muslims at the time of the war will be in al-Ghutah near a city called Damascus, one of the best cities in Syria.
ابوالدرداء رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” ( دجال سے ) جنگ کے روز مسلمانوں کا جماؤ غوطہٰ میں ہو گا ، جو اس شہر کے ایک جانب میں ہے جسے دمشق کہا جاتا ہے ، جو شام کے بہترین شہروں میں سے ہے “ ۔
Ibn ‘Umar reported the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him)As saying: The Muslims will soon be besieged up to Madina so that their most distant frontier outpost will be Salah.
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” قریب ہے کہ مسلمان مدینہ میں محصور کر دیئے جائیں یہاں تک کہ ان کی عملداری صرف مقام سلاح تک رہ جائے “ ۔
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah will not gather two swords upon this community: Its own sword and the sword of its enemy.
عوف بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” اللہ تعالیٰ اس امت پر دو تلواریں ( بلائیں ) اکٹھی نہیں کرے گا کہ ایک تلوار تو خود اسی کی ہو ، اور ایک تلوار اس کے دشمن کی ہو ۲؎ “ ۔
Chapter 1594: Prohibition Of Agitating The Turks And Abyssinians - كتاب الملاحم
حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ضَمْرَةُ، عَنِ السَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سُكَيْنَةَ، - رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْمُحَرَّرِينَ - عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَالَ
" دَعُوا الْحَبَشَةَ مَا وَدَعُوكُمْ وَاتْرُكُوا التُّرْكَ مَا تَرَكُوكُمْ " .
Narrated from Abi Sukainah One of the Companions:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Let the Abyssinians alone as long as they let you alone, and let the Turks alone as long as they leave you alone.
ایک صحابی رسول رضی اللہ عنہ روایت کرتے ہیں کہ
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” حبشہ کے کافروں کو اس وقت تک چھوڑے رہو جب تک کہ وہ تم سے چھیڑ چھاڑ نہ کریں ، اور ترکوں کو بھی چھوڑے رہو جب تک کہ وہ تم سے چھیڑ چھاڑ نہ کریں ۱؎ “ ۔
Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet (May peace be upon him) as saying:
The last hour will not come before the Muslims fight with the Turks, a people whose faces look as if they were shields covered with skin, and who will wear sandals of hair.
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” قیامت قائم نہیں ہو گی جب تک مسلمان ترکوں سے نہ لڑیں جو ایک ایسی قوم ہو گی جن کے چہرے تہ بہ تہ جمی ہوئی ڈھالوں کے مانند ہونگے ، اور وہ بالوں کے لباس پہنتے ہوں گے “ ۔
The last hour will not come before you fight with a people whose sandals are of hair, and the Last hour will not come before you fight with a people who have small eyes, short noses, and whose faces look as if they were shields covered with skin.
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” قیامت قائم نہیں ہو گی یہاں تک کہ تم ایک ایسی قوم سے لڑو گے جن کی جوتیاں بالوں کی ہوں گی ، اور قیامت قائم نہیں ہو گی یہاں تک کہ تم ایک ایسی قوم سے لڑو گے جن کی آنکھیں چھوٹی اور ناک چپٹی ہوں گی ، اور ان کے چہرے اس طرح ہوں گے گویا تہ بہ تہ ڈھال ہیں “ ۔
In the tradition telling that people with small eyes, i.e. the Turks, will fight against you, the prophet (ﷺ) said: You will drive them off three times till you catch up with them in Arabia. On the first occasion when you drive them off those who fly will be safe, on the second occasion some will be safe and some will perish, but on the third occasion they will be extirpated, or he said words to that effect.
بریدہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرماتے ہیں : ” تم سے ایک ایسی قوم لڑے گی جس کی آنکھیں چھوٹی ہوں گی “ یعنی ترک ، پھر فرمایا : ” تم انہیں تین بار پیچھے کھدیڑ دو گے ، یہاں تک کہ تم انہیں جزیرہ عرب سے ملا دو گے ، تو پہلی بار میں ان میں سے جو بھاگ گیا وہ نجات پا جائے گا ، اور دوسری بار میں کچھ بچ جائیں گے ، اور کچھ ہلاک ہو جائیں گے ، اور تیسری بار میں ان کا بالکل خاتمہ ہی کر دیا جائے گا «أو کماقال» ( جیسا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ) ۱؎ ۔
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Some of my people will alight on low-lying ground, which they will call al-Basrah, beside a river called the Tigris over which there is a bridge. Its people will be numerous and it will be one of the capital cities of immigrants (or one of the capital cities of Muslims, according to the version of Ibn Yahya who reported from Abu Ma'mar).
At the end of time the descendants of Qantura' will come with broad faces and small eyes and alight on the bank of the river. The town's inhabitants will then separate into three sections, one of which will follow cattle and (live in) the desert and perish, another of which will seek security for themselves and perish, but a third will put their children behind their backs and fight the invaders, and they will be the martyrs.
ابوبکرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” میری امت کے کچھ لوگ دجلہ نامی ایک نہر کے قریب کے ایک نشیبی زمین پر اتریں گے جسے وہ لوگ بصرہ کہتے ہوں گے ، اس پر ایک پل ہو گا ، وہاں کے لوگ ( تعداد میں ) دیگر شہروں کے بالمقابل زیادہ ہوں گے ، اور وہ مہاجرین کے شہروں میں سے ہو گا ( ابومعمر کی روایت میں ہے کہ وہ مسلمانوں کے شہروں میں سے ہو گا ) ، پھر جب آخری زمانہ ہو گا تو وہاں قنطورہ ۱؎ کی اولاد ( اہل بصرہ کے قتل کے لیے ) آئیگی جن کے چہرے چوڑے ، اور آنکھیں چھوٹی ہوں گی ، یہاں تک کہ وہ نہر کے کنارے اتریں گے ، پھر تین گروہوں میں بٹ جائیں گے ، ایک گروہ تو بیل کی دم ، اور صحرا کو اختیار کر کے ہلاک ہو جائے گا ، اور ایک گروہ اپنی جانوں کو بچا کر کافر ہو جانے کو قبول کر لے گا ، اور ایک گروہ اپنی اولاد کو اپنے پیچھے چھوڑ کر نکل کھڑا ہو گا ، اور ان سے لڑے گا یہی لوگ شہداء ہوں گے “ ۔
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The people will establish cities, Anas, and one of them will be called al-Basrah or al-Busayrah. If you should pass by it or enter it, avoid its salt-marshes, its Kall, its market, and the gate of its commanders, and keep to its environs, for the earth will swallow some people up, pelting rain will fall and earthquakes will take place in it, and there will be people who will spend the night in it and become apes and swine in the morning.
انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
لوگ شہر بسائیں گے انہیں شہروں میں سے ایک شہر ہو گا جسے بصرہ یا بصیرہ کہا جاتا ہو گا ، اگر تم اس سے گزرنا یا اس میں داخل ہونا تو اس کی سب شور زمین اس کی کلاء ۱؎ اس کے بازار اور اس کے امراء کے دروازوں سے اپنے آپ کو بچانا ، اور اپنے آپ کو اس کے اطراف ہی میں رکھنا ، کیونکہ اس میں «خسف» ( زمینوں کا دھنسنا ) «قذف» ( پتھر برسنا ) اور «رجف» ( زلزلہ ) ہو گا ، اور کچھ لوگ رات صحیح سالم ہو کر گزاریں گے ، اور صبح کو بندر اور سور ہو کر اٹھیں گے ۔
We went on the pilgrimage and met a man who asked us: Is there a town near you called al-Ubullah? We said: Yes. He said: Is there any of you who will undertake to pray two or four rak'ahs on my behalf in the mosque of al-Ashshar, stating "they are on behalf of AbuHurayrah"?
He (Abu Hurayrah) said: I heard my friend AbulQasim (ﷺ) say: On the Day of Resurrection Allah will raise martyrs from the mosque of al-Ashshar, who will be the only ones to rise with the martyrs of Badr.
Abu Dawud said: This mosque is near the river.
صالح بن درہم کہتے ہیں کہ
ہم حج کے ارادہ سے چلے تو اچانک ہمیں ایک شخص ملا ۱؎ جس نے ہم سے پوچھا : کیا تمہارے قریب میں کوئی ایسی بستی ہے جسے ابلّہ کہا جاتا ہو ؟ ہم نے کہا : ہاں ، ہے ، پھر اس نے کہا : تم میں سے کون اس بات کی ضمانت لیتا ہے کہ وہ وہاں مسجد عشار میں میرے لیے دو یا چار رکعت نماز پڑھے ؟ اور کہے : اس کا ثواب ابوہریرہ کو ملے کیونکہ میں نے اپنے خلیل ابوالقاسم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا ہے : ” اللہ قیامت کے دن مسجد عشّار سے ایسے شہداء اٹھائے گا جن کے علاوہ کوئی اور شہداء بدر کے ہم پلہ نہ ہوں گے “ ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں : یہ مسجد نہر ۲؎ کے متصل ہے ۔
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Leave the Abyssinians alone as long as they leave you alone, for it is only the Abyssinian with short legs who will seek to take out the treasure of the Ka'bah.
عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” اہل حبشہ کو چھوڑے رہو جب تک وہ تمہیں چھوڑے ہوئے ہیں ۱؎ ، کیونکہ کعبہ کے خزانے کو سوائے ایک باریک پنڈلیوں والے حبشی کے کوئی اور نہیں نکالے گا ۲؎ “ ۔
A group of people came to Marwan in Medina, and they heard him say that the first of the signs to appear would be the coming forth of the Dajjal (Antichirst). He said: I then went to Abd Allah b. ‘Amr and mentioned it to him. He did not say anything(reliable). I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: The first of the signs to appear will be the rising of the sun in its place of setting and the coming forth of the beast against mankind in the forenoon. Whichever of them comes first will soon be followed by the other. ’Abd Allah who used to read the scriptures (Torah, Gospel) said: I think the first of them will be the rising of the sun in its place of setting.
ابوزرعہ کہتے ہیں کہ
کچھ لوگ مروان کے پاس مدینہ آئے تو وہاں اسے ( قیامت کی ) نشانیوں کے متعلق بیان کرتے سنا کہ سب سے پہلی نشانی ظہور دجال کی ہو گی ، تو میں عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہما کے پاس گیا ، اور ان سے اسے بیان کیا ، تو عبداللہ نے صرف اتنا کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا ہے کہ پہلی نشانی سورج کا پچھم سے طلوع ہونا ہے ، یا بوقت چاشت لوگوں کے درمیان دابہ ( چوپایہ ) کا ظہور ہے ، ان دونوں میں سے جو نشانی بھی پہلے واقع ہو دوسری بالکل اس سے متصل ہو گی ، اور عبداللہ بن عمرو جن کے زیر مطالعہ آسمانی کتابیں رہا کرتی تھیں کہتے ہیں : میرا خیال ہے ان دونوں میں پہلے سورج کا پچھم سے نکلنا ہے ۔
We were sitting in the shade of the chamber of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) discussing (something) and when we mentioned the last hour, our voices rose high. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The last hour will not come or happen until there appear ten signs before it : the rising of the sun in its place of setting, the coming forth of the beast, the coming forth of Gog and Magog, the Dajjal (Antichrist), (the descent of) Jesus son of Mary, the smoke, and three collapses of the earth: one in the west, one in the east, and one in the Arabian Peninsula. The last of that will be the emergence of a fire from Yemen, from the lowest part of Aden, and drive mankind to their place of assembly.
حذیفہ بن اسید غفاری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے کمرے کے زیر سایہ بیٹھے باتیں کر رہے تھے ، ہم نے قیامت کا ذکر کیا تو ہماری آوازیں بلند ہو گئیں تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” قیامت اس وقت تک نہیں ہو گی ، یا قائم نہیں ہو گی جب تک کہ اس سے پہلے دس نشانیاں ظاہر نہ ہو جائیں : سورج کا پچھم سے طلوع ہونا ، دابہ ( چوپایہ ) کا ظہور ، یاجوج و ماجوج کا خروج ، ظہور دجال ، ظہور عیسیٰ بن مریم ، ظہور دخان ( دھواں ) اور تین جگہوں : مغرب ، مشرق اور جزیرہ عرب میں خسف ( دھنسنا ) اور سب سے آخر میں یمن کی طرف سے عدن کے گہرائی میں سے ایک آگ ظاہر ہو گی وہ ہانک کر لوگوں کو محشر کی طرف لے جائے گی “ ۔
Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying:
The last hour will not come before rising of the sun in its place of setting. When it rises (there) and the people see it, those who are on it (the earth) will believe. This is the time of which the Qur’anic verse says: “. . .no good will it do to a soul to believe in them then, if it believed not before nor earned righteousness through its faith."
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” قیامت اس وقت تک قائم نہیں ہو گی جب تک سورج پچھم سے نہ نکل آئے ، تو جب سورج نکلے گا اور لوگ اس کو دیکھ لیں گے تو جو بھی روئے زمین پر ہو گا ایمان لے آئے گا ، لیکن یہی وہ وقت ہو گا جب کسی کو بھی جو اس سے پہلے ایمان نہ لے آیا ہو اور اپنے ایمان میں خیر نہ کما لیا ہو اس کا ایمان فائدہ نہ دے گا “ ۔
Hudhaifa and Abu Mas’ud got together and Hudhaifah said:
I know best what the Dajjal (Antichrist) will have with him. He will have with him a sea of water and a river of fire, and what you see as fire will be water and what you sea as water will be fire. If any of you who lives up to that time and desires water, he should drink from what he sees as fire, for he will find it water. Abu Mas’ud al-Badri said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say in this way.
ربعی بن حراش کہتے ہیں کہ
حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ اور ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ اکٹھا ہوئے تو حذیفہ نے کہا : دجال کے ساتھ جو چیز ہو گی میں اسے خوب جانتا ہوں ، اس کے ساتھ ایک نہر پانی کی ہو گی اور ایک آگ کی ، جس کو تم آگ سمجھتے ہو گے وہ پانی ہو گا ، اور جس کو پانی سمجھتے ہو گے وہ آگ ہو گی ، تو جو تم میں سے اسے پائے اور پانی پینا چاہے تو چاہیئے کہ وہ اس میں سے پئے جسے وہ آگ سمجھ رہا ہے کیونکہ وہ اسے پانی پائے گا ۔ ابومسعود بدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں : اسی طرح میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا ۔
